Hawkeye , aka Clint Barton (and not "Clint Burton"), is one of Marvel's most iconic archers, appearing in both the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Created in 1964 by Stan Lee and Don Heck, he began as a supervillain before quickly joining the Avengers as a hero, known for his incredible accuracy with the bow and his indomitable spirit.
In the comics, Clint Barton is an orphan, raised in a circus where he learns archery from the Swordsman and Trick Shot, but he breaks with them after discovering their criminal activities. He becomes a key member of the Avengers, founds the West Coast Avengers, marries and then divorces Mockingbird, adopts the alias Ronin during a dark period, and eventually trains the new generation with Kate Bishop, who becomes his protégé and one of the new Hawkeyes.
In the MCU, Clint Barton is portrayed by Jeremy Renner: a SHIELD agent, he befriends Black Widow, becomes a pillar of the Avengers, and faces major trials such as the loss of his family during the "Blip," a period during which he becomes the vigilante Ronin. He later rejoins the Avengers to reverse Thanos's actions and trains Kate Bishop in the series Hawkeye (2021), thus ensuring the succession
